A couple holding hands outdoors after their wedding ceremony

A gathering for the people we love

Mara & Quill

One slow afternoon, one very good dinner, and the beginning of our next chapter together.

A little note

Come as you are.

We are making room for long conversations, crooked dancing, and the kind of meal that turns an evening into a memory.

If you are here, you have shaped our lives in some way. We cannot wait to gather everyone we love in one place.

The plan, gently held

A day in three parts.

No rushing, no complicated choreography. Just a few good moments, in the order they arrive.

Gather

Arrive, find a seat, and settle into the afternoon.

The ceremony

A short promise beneath the late-summer trees.

Long table dinner

Good food, a few toasts, and room for seconds.

Delicate white flowers held in a person's hands

The short version

It started with a borrowed book.

Mara left a well-loved poetry collection on a train. Quill found it, read the pencilled margins, and spent the next week trying to return it.

Three years, two cities, and an unreasonable number of Sunday breakfasts later, we are still passing things back and forth: books, ideas, and the last piece of cake.

Now we get to make it official.

Useful things

A few guest notes.

Everything you need to feel comfortable and present for the day.

What should I wear?

Come dressed for an afternoon outside and an evening at the table. Festive, comfortable, and ready for a little weather is perfect.

Are children welcome?

Yes. The day is made for curious small people too. There will be space to wander and space to rest.

What about gifts?

Your company is more than enough. If you would like to give something, a handwritten note or contribution to a future adventure would be lovely.

Until then

Save us a seat in your heart.

September 14, 2026. We will be so glad to see you there.
